Everton youngster Tom Davies has agree to a five-year contract extension.

Everton midfielder Tom Davies has agreed to a five-year extension to remain at Goodison Park, according to the official team Twitter account.

The 18-year-old academy graduate has appeared in 17 games as a part of Everton’s first team.

Davies joined the academy at the young age of 11. He made his debut with the Toffees’ squad in April of 2016 during a 1-1 draw vs. Southampton.

“Hopefully, young players in the Academy now can see how I have been able to progress and make my way to the Everton first team,” Davies said in an interview for Everton’s website.

“We all know that the hard work doesn’t stop because we want to be part of taking the Club to the next level as well,” Davies said.

A favorite of Manager Ronald Koeman’s, Davies has started 10 Premier League matches in the 2016-2017 season alone.

“We’re really happy with his performances and, of course, proud,” Koeman said to the club’s website.

Davies established himself as a solid first team choice at the midfield position early this season. He played a vital role in Everton’s 2-0 boxing day victory at Leicester and has started ever since.

Davies scored the lone goal of his first team career in a 4-0 win against Manchester City.

With rumors of Ross Barkley and Lukaku’s summer departures looming and following a Merseyside defeat on Sunday, Everton were quick to deliver a piece of good news to their restless fans, announcing the signing Monday.

Davies’ contract with the club is now set to expire toward the end of 2022.
