24. Alabama Crimson Tide

Especially towards the end of the season, the Alabama Crimson Tide really started to hit their stride under head coach Avery Johnson. They showed a ton of promise and put up some great fights against the best teams in the SEC. Now they’ll look to get better and potentially be a contender for the conference championship. The Crimson Tide should have more than enough talent on the roster to make that happen.

Returning for Alabama will be the frontcourt presences of Daniel Giddens along with the likes of Dazon Ingram and Braxton Key. These three were integral to the success that the Tide enjoyed throughout the year and should be able to make a bit of a leap and get even better with another year playing together. The key, though, will be how this core exists with the incoming star freshman for this team.

Collin Sexton and John Petty are both five-star recruits and will both start from the time that they make it to the gym in Tuscaloosa. In doing so, Bama adds a pair of player to their backcourt that will be able to fill it up against even the strong defenses of the SEC. They could stand out in the conference because of that duo, but it’s really up to the rapport that they can build with the incumbents on the roster as to how far this team ultimately goes.
