It’s Masters week on the PGA Tour. Here is a look at the schedule of events taking place in this most iconic invitational golf tournament.

It’s not spring time in the United States until the Masters Tournament is being played at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, Georgia. Needless to say, it is Masters week. Let’s take a look at the events on the schedule for this first major of the PGA Tour.

Players will be feeling out the golf course on Monday, Tuesday, and part of Wednesday. Once the players have a feel for Augusta National and all she’ll have to offer this April, then comes the infamous Par 3 Contest.

It’s an event that serious competitors for the green jacket try to lose on purpose, as there is certain stigma attached to the Par 3 Contest. Golfers want to win the green jacket, not the Par 3 Contest. Could you blame them?

Monday, Apr. 3: Practice Round (8:00 a.m. ET)
Tuesday, Apr. 4: Practice Round (8:00 a.m. ET)
Wednesday, Apr. 5: Practice Round (8:00 a.m. ET), Par 3 Contest (12:00 p.m. ET)

As it is with any golf tournament of note, the event really begins on Thursday morning with the earliest of tee times. The field will gradually be narrowed down for Rounds 3 and 4 through a series of cuts. Then it’s full steam ahead for which golfer gets to win the 81st Masters Tournament.

Thursday, Apr. 6: Round 1 (8:00 a.m. ET)
Friday, Apr. 7: Round 2 (8:00 a.m. ET)
Saturday, Apr. 8: Round 3 (8:00 a.m. ET)
Sunda, Apr. 9: Round 4 (8:00 a.m. ET), Green Jacket Ceremony (7:00 p.m. ET)

Given that it is early spring in Georgia, weather could play a factor in this tournament. Augusta National tries to have the annual tournament coincide with the blooming azaleas sprinkled throughout the beautiful landscape.
