The popular Marvel PC game, Marvel Heroes, is coming to consoles. It has a new name as well (Marvel Heroes Omega).

If you’ve never played Marvel Heroes on the PC, think of it as a Diablo game with a Marvel superheroes skin. The game first release in June of 2013 and now, it’ll be making its way to consoles this Spring. This time though, it has a different name (Marvel Heroes Omega), which we’re thinking has more content and is the definitive version.

In Marvel Heroes Omega, there will be around 38 different characters to choose from. Some fan-favorites include Captain America, Deadpool, Star-Lord and Groot. These are only a few of the characters that you’ll be able to send into battle.

This game reminds us of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. In that game, you can play as a number of different Marvel characters and progress through the games story. Each character has a different play style, so it’s up to you to choose how you want to play. Marvel Heroes Omega is extremely similar in that aspect. However, it plays more like an MMO, where you pick different missions and complete them.

When it comes to video games, Marvel is ready to deliver some quality content. We’ve had our fair share of bad experiences with Marvel video games. There are some exceptions, however. But, the future is looking bright for the company.

We have Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, which is scheduled to release in a few weeks. We also have the recently announced Avengers game, which is being developed by Square Enix. Square Enix inked a deal with Marvel to create many other video games in the near future.

As stated, Marvel Heroes Omega will be coming to consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) sometime this spring. Best of all? It’s free of charge.
