Swansea face Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, April 5. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Tottenham enter matchday 31 in second place in the Premier league table, ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City. Swansea are at the opposite of the table. The Swans sit in 17th place, just one point above Hull.
After a scoreless first half against Burnley at the weekend, Tottenham were able to collect all three points following two second-half goals. In the 66th minute, Eric Dier blocked a Burnley clearance attempt following a corner and buried the ball into the top right corner to give Spurs a 1-0 lead. In the 80th minute, Spurs sealed the game. A beautiful long ball from Christian Eriksen found Dele Alli on the right. Alli crossed the ball over to striker Heung-min Son, who tapped it in.
Swansea were unable to pick up all three points on Sunday against Middlesbrough. Despite having the majority of chances and taking 15 shots and 11 corners, the Swans could not get one passed Middlesbrough keeper Victor Valdes. If Swansea are going to pick up points against Tottenham, Gylfi Sigurdsson is going to play a huge role. The Icelandic playmaker has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. Sigurdsson has eight goals and is tied for the Premier League lead with 11 assists.
