The Masters and the chase for the green jacket will officially begin with the first round from Augusta on Thursday.

Tiger Woods will not be participating in this year’s event. As he still works his way back from back surgeries and getting his timetable right, the legendary golfer will have to forego competing for another green jacket this year.

He’s not the only one that could be missing. Dustin Johnson suffered a crazy back injury falling down a flight of stairs and his question for the tournament is up in the air. The No. 1 golfer in the world has been primed and ready to go after the green jacket but unforeseen circumstances could prevent that.

The world will also get to see if Jordan Spieth can redeem himself. After an epic collapse last year, Spieth will have a chance to prove he has what it takes to bounce back. A strong first round is necessary for all competitors.
