WrestleMania 33 (and the two shows after) brought two new world champions, the end of a legend’s career, the return of a former world champion, the returns of the hottest tag team in the universe and … The Miz still dressing like John Cena. Here’s this week’s rankings!
The week of WrestleMania 33 (followed by two fun episodes of RAW and SmackDown Live respectively) may have felt like it was never going to end, but there were times where none of us wanted it to end. It was utter madness and some things went down that people are still talking about days later.
First off, The Undertaker’s career appears to be over in WWE. The Deadman suffered his second defeat in 25 career matches at the Show of Shows to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. It’s difficult to put into words the impact that The Undertaker has had on the professional wrestling business and it’s going to be incredibly strange to not see him don the hat and trench coat anymore.
Secondly, holy crap! The Hardy Boyz are back in WWE! The Broken Brothers made their shocking return to WWE this past Sunday night to enter and win the RAW Tag Team Championship Ladder match against The Club, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and Cesaro and Sheamus.
Thirdly, John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella after the duo were finally able to get their hands on The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania. And to the surprise of no one in the crowd at Camping World Stadium, Nikki said yes.
Oh, did I mention Finn Balor made his triumphant return to RAW on Monday night in the main event as Seth Rollins’ mystery partner against new United States Champion Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe?
Yeah, you missed a lot this week.
Before I spoil too much for those that missed all of the fun and WTF moments of the week, here’s the post-WrestleMania 33 edition of FanSided’s WWE Superstar Power Rankings.
(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205Live specific stars are on this list.)
