Haason Reddick

Edge, Temple

The Baltimore Ravens have been making some waves this offseason, and they made another big move this past week. The team traded away defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan to the Philadelphia Eagles for a better third-round pick, losing one of the better interior defensive lineman against the pass. The Ravens do have Brandon Williams for the 2017 season, so the defensive line should be tough despite the loss of Jernigan.

At No. 16, Haason Reddick may be too good to pass up, and the Ravens need somebody with his skill set on the defensive side of the ball. The Ravens terminated the contract of Elvis Dumervil this offseason, and star linebacker Terrell Suggs is definitely getting up there in age. Reddick would enable the Ravens to continue to be strong at the linebacker position, while adding a player who can really get after the quarterback.

When the Ravens were the best team in football, it was because of their defense, and they need to get back to that being the case. The team brought in Brandon Carr at cornerback from the Dallas Cowboys, and with Eric Weddle at safety, their secondary should be solid. If the Ravens can attack the quarterback next season, they should definitely be in the race in a very close AFC North.
