Malik Hooker

S, Ohio State

The Chargers made the move to Los Angeles after last season, and are slated to play their games in a 30,000 seat soccer stadium for the next few seasons. Unlike the Rams, who moved to Los Angeles the year before from St. Louis, they actually have a team that should win their fair share of games next season. The Bolts have a quality quarterback, some really good young players on both sides of the ball, and a head coach who will be looking to change the culture in his first season with the team.

On the defensive side of the ball, the secondary needs help, especially at the safety positions. The team did re-sign Jahleel Addae this offseason, but Dwight Lowry is just not a good player at this point. With their first round pick, look for the Chargers to bring in Malik Hooker, who would be their best player at the position since Eric Weddle.

Hooker will have to battle back from two surgeries this offseason, but he should be ready for the preseason. He is a fantastic talent in the defensive backfield, and can really take away the deep part of the field. The Chargers have long been weak in the secondary, so making that a priority this offseason would definitely be a change of pace for a franchise who will be looking to make a splash in their first season in L.A.
