The Oakland Raiders asking for PSL Deposits for their $1.9 Billion dollar stadium in Las Vegas
Last week the Oakland Raiders started taking $100 PSL deposits on personal seat licenses for their Las Vegas Stadium. Adam Candee of the Las Vegas Sun explains what that actually gets you.
It’s important to note that while the $100 guarantees you a chance at claiming seats, it doesn’t guarantee them. basically, it allows your foot to enter a very expensive door. It’s a gamble, but one that thousands are likely willing to pay for pro football in Vegas.
Those prices could be anywhere from $500-$25,000 depending on where the seats are located. However, at this time, those numbers, including the household number, are not fixed and only should be used as a guideline.
To further this, the Raiders Las Vegas PSL Deposit Agreement only guarantees that you will be given,
"information regarding the sale of PSLs and Raiders Season Tickets for the Stadium as it becomes available."
The agreement also makes perfectly clear that you will not be placed on a numbered waiting list, or be guaranteed to purchase PSLs in a certain seat location. Also, all PSL deposits are fully refundable.

There have been other teams in recent years which have charged fans for PSLs, something that never goes over well. When the New York Giants and New York Jets moved into MetLife Stadium almost a decade ago, both franchises demanded a PSL license fee. The result was many season-ticket holders giving up their seats, furious with having to spend so much money just for the right to have a chance on seats.
