Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers split up

Love is truly dead: after a much-publicized courtship and rumors of engagement, Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers have split up.

She’s a former journalist who is best known to the comics world as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse. He’s a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. How could it have gone wrong? But, unfortunately, it has: Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers have split up, just a few months after rumors of the couple’s engagement began to make their rounds in the blogosphere.

And the now-former couple announced their break-up in the most Hollywood way possible: by having a “source” close to them release a statement to People Magazine.

"“They have amicably ended their relationship of three years. [Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers] remain close friends and wish nothing but the best for each other moving forward.”"

The couple was often seen out and about together in public, with Munn often appearing at Green Bay Packers games and Rodgers often escorting Munn to red carpet events in Hollywood. While Munn was very public about their relationship, and often made comments about how much they loved each other, Rodgers preferred to keep his relationship with the actress private.

However, there was one notable time when Rodgers defended Munn: when word got out that she was responsible for the strain in Rodgers’ relationship with his father and younger brother, Jordan.

"“Olivia doesn’t really have anything to do with it. This is not her issue; this is the Rodgers family issue. Aaron has never wanted want to air this out in a public forum. He will deal with his family issues privately.”"
