Steph Curry is doubtful to play tomorrow night against the Pelicans

As the playoffs are coming, this is not the right time for an injury to an MVP caliber player.
Well, this could be interpreted as either good or bad news for Warriors fans. One on hand, the Warriors are being extremely cautious with their star players and will not let him play on a bad knee because the playoffs start in a few days. On the other hand, though, Curry is injured which is never a good sign.
It’s widely assumed that his left knee contusion happened during his explosive game against the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors are likely just being careful here, which is never a bad thing. Kevin Durant is supposed to return on Saturday which is even better news for Warriors fans around the globe.
Curry has been described as being “day-to-day” with this injury.
This game has no implications on the Warriors playoff future. They are already locked into the one seed and will either play the Portland Trail Blazers or the Denver Nuggets in the first round. It makes sense to give Steph a day of rest even though normally this is something that he would play through.
The New Orleans Pelicans are still trying to figure everything out as a team. DeMarcus Cousins has not quite panned out as quickly as the Pelicans front office thought he would. The main problem the Pelicans are facing is how they will be able to utilize both Anthony Davis and Cousins at high levels without compromising their respective games. A big problem with Cousins and Davis playing together is that they both have high usage rates, so they’ll have to learn to share the ball a bit more with one another.
Shaun Livingston and Ian Clark are both going to see an uptick in minutes because of Curry’s absence. This game will be one to watch for because this is Kevin Durant’s first game back from his injury.
