The Boise State Broncos will hold their annual spring game on Saturday evening. Here is how to watch this glorified intra-squad scrimmage online.
Spring football is very much under way across Division I football. One of the spring games of note going on this weekend will be the Boise State Broncos’ annual spring game. Kickoff from Albertsons Stadium in Boise will be at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Though anybody can come to Boise to watch the Broncos compete amongst themselves on the smurf turf, unfortunately the intra-squad game among the Broncos will not be nationally televised. Check in with Boise State’s official site BroncoSports.com for any coverage on the event.
This is an important year for the Boise State football program. Though the Broncos have been immensely successful for much of the last decade plus, 2017 may be their toughest regular season slate to date.
Boise State plays in the tougher Mountain Division in the Mountain West. Rivals Air Force and Wyoming defeated Boise State last year and could be in play for the Group of 5 New Year’s Six bowl bid. The Broncos have been in the mix as a mid-major for years, but 2017 could be a year that Boise State struggles to win 10 games.

A ton of the Broncos’ on-field success with ride on the play of junior starting quarterback Brett Rypien. He played well last year through October, but had a veteran Broncos team to lean on offensively. Losing star running back Jeremy McNichols to the 2017 NFL Draft will not be an easy hole for Boise State to fill.

Nevertheless, few teams in Division I reload quite like the Broncos do in the Mountain West. If they can go 7-1 in conference play and beat the West Champion, Boise State can earn a well-deserved New Year’s Six bowl bid.
