First Base – High-Salary Option

Wil Myers $3700 – Last year, Myers had 15 at-bats against Madison Bumgarner. He finished with five hits, including two doubles and one home run, and walked once. Myers had some great games against one of the best pitchers in the league last season, but he also had some games where he struggled. If he can start off the game well, he should be productive against the Giants ace. **

First Base – Mid-Range Option

Freddie Freeman $3300 – Freeman with be facing off with the Pirates righty, Chad Kuhl, for the first time today. Kuhl does not have much experience against hitters with the talent level of Freeman and could struggle in this matchup. Freeman hit .334 last year against right handed pitchers including 19 home runs and 20 doubles. Freeman has the experience over Kuhl to handle this matchup with ease. ****

First Base – High-Value Option

Chris Davis $3200 – Masahiro Tanaka got lit up on Opening Day and did not even pitch three full innings before he got pulled. Tanaka will be dragging his 23.63 Earned Run Average to Camden Yards today and Davis will be looking to slide him right back out. Davis hit 30 total home runs against right handed pitching last year and Tanaka has already given up a couple long balls this year. ***
