Bucks beat the 76ers, clinch playoff spot in the process
By Ynal Al-Ouri
The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 90-82 tonight to clinch a playoff spot after missing the postseason last season.
The Milwaukee Bucks are officially back in the playoffs this season, and their fans are amped.
Milwaukee boasts one of the youngest, although one of the most talented rosters in the league, and they put it all together this season to make their third playoff appearance in the last five seasons. The Bucks are led by their superstar point forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who took a major step forward with his development during his fourth season.
Coming into tonight’s game he was averaging career-high numbers, which include 23.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 steals a game. Talk about stuffing the stat sheet. He was rewarded earlier in the season for his impressive stat line by making his first of potentially many NBA All-Star Game appearances.
Antetokounmpo has shown he is a superstar this season, and at only 22 years old, the sky is the limit for him. The Bucks also have a budding star in Khris Middleton playing beside him, and Middleton has been a solid two-way player since he entered the league.
Milwaukee will need both their stars to play well if they want to make some noise in the playoffs, as they are currently projected to go against the very talented Toronto Raptors, who have plenty of playoff experience over the last few seasons. With two games left in the season though, the standings could still change a bit.
