It’s Super Bulldog Weekend, but for fans that can’t make it to Starkville, here’s how to watch the Mississippi State football spring game online.

Mississippi State football spring practice is coming to an end as the Bulldogs pause to play the Maroon/White Spring Football Game.

The Bulldogs entered the spring still riding the late season of a 55-20 victory over hated rival Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl, which earned Mississippi State its school record seventh straight postseason appearance – a close 17-16 victory over Miami (OH) in the St. Petersburg Bowl.

Several key contributors are gone from last year’s 6-7 squad, including the school’s all-time leading receiver Fred Ross and 2016 leading tackler Richie Brown. However, quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, up-and-coming running back Aeris Williams, and receiver Donald Gray give Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen plenty of reason to be optimistic heading into the 2017 campaign.

Fitzgerald led the SEC with 16 rushing touchdowns last season, and his 1,375 rushing yards were just 12 shy of the conference rushing title. The rising junior also threw for 2,423 passing yards and 21 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. Williams ran for 720 yards and four TDs, and is expected to take on a larger workload next season to help limit the hits Fitzgerald takes in the running game.

New defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will build around linebackers Leo Lewis and J.T. Gray, as well as defensive back Brandon Bryant and defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, but will likely rely on several junior college transfers in an effort to improve a unit that ranked 12th in the SEC and No. 101 nationally in total defense (459.1 yards allowed per game).
