Wizards’ John Wall does the signature LeBron chasedown block
The Washington Wizards’ John Wall continues to be a human highlight reel on the court, adding a chasedown block to the list.
During Saturday night’s game against the Miami Heat, John Wall pulls off a move that we see LeBron James commonly do.
Like we saw last June with LeBron chasing down Andre Iguodala for a game-saving block, Wall has a similar play on Josh Richardson.
When you hear the footsteps running behind you on the break, beware, because Wall could be on the path for a chasedown block. Down 44-41 late in the second quarter, the Wizards point guard went after Richardson for a block.
Emerging as one of the top point guards in this league, Wall continues to show his versatility. Not only does he have the ability to be a good passer and scorer, he’s added blocks to his repertoire.
Wall added to his highlight tape on Saturday night with this spectacular block.
For the season, Wall averages 0.6 blocks per game, with many of them coming in the chasedown fashion. He captured his next victim tonight in Richardson.
The Wizards and Heat were competing at the Verizon center with playoff implications, as the Heat tried to move into the playoff picture. The game went down to the wire in the fourth quarter, with the Heat earning the 106-103 victory.
Miami was 0.5 games back of the Bulls for the final playoff spot heading into Saturday’s game. They desperately needed this one to be able to lock up a ticket to the postseason, the first since the Big Three split up in Miami.
But early in the game, Wall had different plans in his mind.

Wall had an off-night shooting, but had two blocks, one of them shown in the play above. He continues to display his amazing athleticism and this highlight is a great indication of exactly what Wall is capable of.
