Helio Castroneves won his third straight pole position at the 2017 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Here are the qualifying results for Sunday’s IndyCar race.

Helio Castroneves owns Verizon IndyCar Series qualifying at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Castroneves drove the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet to a new track record on his way to earning his third straight Long Beach pole on Saturday.

Castroneves laid down a lap of 1:06:224 during the Firestone Fast Six, obliterating the previous track record of 1:06:6294 that he had previously laid down in 2015.

He also moved within one Verizon P1 Award of tying Bobby Unser for the third most pole positions all-time.

But he wasn’t the only one demonstrating some serious speed during Grand Prix of Long Beach qualifying. Eleven of the twelve drivers who made it into Round 2 broke that 2015 track record.

Scott Dixon will start second in Sunday’s race after coming up just short of beating Castroneves. He was followed by Ryan Hunter-Reay, James Hinchcliffe, Alexander Rossi and Graham Rahal, making it a Honda-dominated Fast Six.

One penalty was assessed during qualifying, and that was to the No. 1 Team Penske Chevrolet of defending race winner Simon Pagenaud for qualifying interference during Round 1. Pagenaud thus lost his two fastest laps.

Below are the complete qualifying results for the 2017 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach:
