4. Matt Kuchar’s hole-in-one on No. 16

In another feel good moment, Matt Kuchar put in an impressive performance on No. 16 on Sunday. While Kuchar wasn’t in the hunt for the green jacket, he ended his weekend on a positive note, with a perfect shot.

Kuchar stepped up to the tee on hole No. 16 and hit an impressive shot on the par-3 that looked good immediately. Kuchar’s shot landed right on the green and rolled on the perfect line with every intention of going in the hole. In the tournament’s previous history 18 of the course’s 28 aces had come on hole No. 16. Kuchar furthered the hole’s history, providing the 19th hole-in-one on “Redbud”.

In an interview on CBS after his finish, Kuchar mentioned that he was waiting for the disappointment of the crowd, and the cheers kept coming as the ball headed right in.

To add on to the great shot, Kuchar made a young fan’s day by signing his hole-in-one ball and giving it to the kid. Kuchar was even par entering the day, Kuchar was at even par, but shot a 67 on the final day of the tournament to finish five-under for the weekend.

He may not have been in the hunt for the jacket, but Kuchar made the weekend one that he and his fans will never forget regardless. Although his moment was subsequently taken over by the drama of the tournament’s final pairing, Kuchar’s hole-in-one provided one of the top moments from the 2017 Masters.
