3. Hole-shattering hole-out by Russell Henley

In one of the more bizarre/impressive moments of the tournament, Russell Henley pulled off a feat that not many have seen in the history of the Masters. On the fifth hole, Henley, from 185 yards out, took his second shot after a solid drive to start.

Henley’s shot was picture perfect, flying at the perfect angle and slam-dunking itself right into the hole. In the process, Henley’s shot managed to literally break the hole and required the staff at the course to replace the hole itself for a few minutes after.

The shot even left Henley in disbelief, as he didn’t have much of a reaction after his shot dropped directly into the hole. Henley was noticeably looking for where his ball had gone and left those watching stunned with how great his shot was.

Holing out from 185 yards out is impressive on its own, but shattering the hole itself is a whole other story that will go down as one of the crazier golf moments you’ll ever witness. While Henley didn’t find himself battling for a top spot on the leaderboard, he will have this memory that will last a lifetime.

One of the craziest facts of the whole moment is Henley’s age. At just 27 years old, we haven’t seen the last of Henley at the Masters, and he still has years to go to work towards a green jacket of his own. For now, this moment will be his namesake at the tournament, and here’s hoping he finds a way to top this moment in the 2018 tournament.
