2. Sergio Garcia’s eagle on No. 15 to get back in the hunt

Sergio Garcia really knew how to add drama to his Masters win, giving fans a true rollercoaster ride throughout Sunday’s finish. After the beginning of what seemed to be his collapse, Garcia’s eagle on 15 got the golfer right back in the hunt and started what will go down as one of the great finishes ever for The Masters.

Garcia’s approach shot on 15 was spectacular, landing 14-feet from the hole, and setting Garcia up for the perfect comeback opportunity. At -7 before the hole began and two strokes behind the leader and pairing competitor for the day, all of the pressure was on, and an eagle was almost necessary if Garcia wanted any chance to win the tournament.

Garcia stepped up for his putt, and the crowd erupted as he jumped into a tie for the lead, with just three holes remaining on the day. The roller coaster would continue through those three holes, and No. 15 would be just the beginning.

A Justin Rose bogey on No. 17 would later add to the drama of the moment, and Garcia’s eagle eventually became an afterthought on the road to greatness. However, his performance on No. 15 gave him much-needed closure in the battle and helped him significantly as he launched his shot on No. 16 into the woods and into the brush.

While the more impressive moment might have been Garcia’s ability to survive No. 16 and keep it close enough to tie with Rose after 17, his impressive work on No. 15 was a true turning point in his comeback.
