After fizzling out of the NFL, Tim Tebow has emerged as a slugger in the outfield for the Columbia Fireflies. Here is his second homer as a minor leaguer.

He’s back again. That’s right former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Tim Tebow has hit another home run as a member of the New York Mets Single A affiliate Columbia Fireflies. Is he The Natural? No, he’s Tebow and he went Tebow Time all over this dinger.

His first home run with Columbia was an opposite field shot that hung up in the air seemingly forever. It was still impressive that Tebow can hit a homer to the opposite field, but his second homer was a no-doubter.

Tebow turned in this pitch up in the zone and clobbered well over the fence for his second home run of the season. It was a such a good swing on that pitch that he just looked like a promising outfield prospect in the Mets minor league system. Isn’t that exactly what he and the Mets hoped for?

Maybe not, as Tebow has loved the media attention since being the dynamic dual-threat signal caller for Urban Meyer’s Florida Gators. Tebow would win a pair of national titles at Florida before being the Denver Broncos’ first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

While his NFL career fizzled out, he still beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on an 80-yard throw to win a playoff game at Mile High. Tebow is still a legend in the Greater Denver area because of his unorthodox winning ways with the 2011 Broncos.

Could Tebow make it to the majors? Well, he does play in the same Mets organization that should be in contention to make the NL Postseason in 2017. Basically, it will be hard for him to make a ridiculous climb from Single A to the bigs in one summer. If it’s the summer of Tebow, then it’s the summer of Tebow. That homer was pretty cool though.
