Sergio Garcia just won the 2017 Masters Tournament. So where is The Masters next year? Do we even have a clue where it will be in 2018?

The 2017 Masters Tournament was one for the ages. 72 holes were not enough to decide a victor this Sunday in April. Tied at nine strokes under par through 72, England’s Justin Rose and Spain’s Sergio Garcia entered a sudden-death playoff.

Garcia would come away victorious by two strokes over Rose in that 73rd hole on 18 again to win his first major tournament. That was Garcia’s 75th try at winning a major. He’s no longer the goat, he’s a Masters Champion.

Regardless of how his 2018 Masters Tournament shakes out, Garcia will play an integral part of the tournament. He will have to put the Green Jacket on the 2018 Masters Champion. So where will The 2018 Masters Tournament be played?

As it is every year, The Masters Tournament is played at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia in early April. It has been held at Augusta National 81 times with the first tournament being played back in 1934.

Back then, it was known as the Augusta National Invitational. The reason for this tournament’s creation was so that popular golfer from the 1920s Bobby Jones could play golf with his buddies without being hassled by thousands of fans. He, Clifford Roberts and Alister MacKenzie turned this former tree nursery into the best golf course in the world.

It remains an extremely exclusive tournament, as only former winners and a handful of qualifying golfers can play at Augusta National annually every spring. The prestigious golf tournament is the crown jewel of the PGA Tour.

While the US Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship are all difficult major tournaments to win, there is only one Masters and it’s in Augusta until the end of time. Can Garcia repeat next April or will somebody new win their first Green Jacket like he did on Sunday?
