The latest reports on the WWE Superstar Shakeup include possible plans for AJ Styles, Sasha Banks and much more

The aftermath of WrestleMania is always one of the most exciting times in WWE. That fact held true this past week with RAW having Kurt Angle named the new general manager, with the debut of The Revival and with the return of Finn Balor. SmackDown followed suit with the debuts of Shinsuke Nakamura and Tye Dillinger. However, hanging over all of this is the announcement of the WWE Superstar Shakeup.

Separater from the WWE Draft, Vince McMahon announced the WWE Superstar Shakeup on RAW this past week. Though details have been few and far between, we’re likely to see trades, big names switching brands and plenty of other shenanigans as a result. The question, though, is what exactly is going to happen and who will be on the move.

Earlier in the week, reports surfaced that AJ Styles was one of the names possibly on the move. The idea was floated of him being traded for Roman Reigns, but then changed to simply just Styles moving to the red brands. Apparently The Phenomenal One’s status is now much more complicated and uncertain.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there’s a possibility that Styles remains on SmackDown. The more interesting part, though, is that the chatter has been about reuniting Styles with Gallows  and Anderson to complete the The Club (nee Bullet Club). That leaves open the possibility of Styles going to RAW in addition to the possibility of Gallows and Anderson moving to SmackDown.

In the same report from Johnson, he also mentions that the women’s division for each brand could be getting a facelift. There’s been talk of a Charlotte-for-Alexa Bliss trad, but also murmurs of Sasha Banks switching brands. Meanwhile, the call-up of Andrade “Cien” Almas from NXT appears inevitable.

On more of a programming front than anything regarding superstars, Johnson notes in a separate report that all of the RAW roster will be present at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping. As such, the WWE Superstar Shakeup is likely to last over the course of both shows.

Perhaps the most important rumor regarding the WWE Superstar Shakeup, though, comes from the Wrestling Observer. As is typical, the plans for Monday and Tuesday are fluid and changing seemingly daily. There’s a good chance that the final decisions as to who is moving won’t be made until hours before RAW on Monday. Thus, keep an ear to the ground.

Regardless of what happens, this is a brilliant move by WWE given the timing. Following the post-WrestleMania shows, there’s typically a lull. With this announcement and the forthcoming after-effects, there’s palpable buzz and excitement about what could happen.
