Chris Owings

SS/OF,

Talk about versatility. Chris Owings is going to play a huge role in the Arizona Diamondbacks success this season, and he could play a huge role in your success if you decide to pick him up. He has dual-eligibility, playing the outfield and shrotstop, and is expected to be the everyday shortstop in Arizona this season. He does a little bit of everything for the D-Backs, and would be a nice utility player on any fantasy roster.

The 25-year-old Owings is a good player, and is one who can get on base consistently. While he does not hit for a ton of power, he does have good doubles pop, and can score his fair share of runs. The Diamondbacks are likely to use him all over the lineup, so there could be some good opportunities for him to drive in some runs this season as well.

The Diamondbacks are going to be a better team this season, and they have a lineup that should score their fair share of runs. Owings is a guy you could use when your starters have a day off, but as a shortstop-eligible player, he may see his percent-owned start to rise as the season wears on. He is hardly owned in many leagues, but he has that kind of spark that could be the deciding factor in you winning a few more weeks this season.
