Giannis “The Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo has done it again

The 6-foot-11 Milwaukee Bucks unicorn rose to ridiculous heights to swat Charlotte Hornets guard Brian Roberts’ attempted layup with 5:51 left to play in the first quarter.

The Bucks led 15-8 when Antetokounmpo decided to do this.

The Greek Freak’s athleticism is something that spectators have marveled at his whole career. But this year the Greek Freak has turned into a literal highlight reel.

For example:

Antetokounmpo is averaging and 23.7 points per game and 1.9 blocks, both a considerable increase since last year’s totals.  The star has seemed to make the leap from good to great this year and seems to only get better as the season progresses.

His turnover aside, plays like the one above have been nothing short of a new normal for the young Buck and Milwaukee has elevated to new heights because of it, even with their other developing playmaker, Jabari Parker, sidelined with injury.

The Hornets sit at 36-44 and have little to play for here at the end of the season besides tanking for draft picks and being the Greek Freak’s platform to make SportsCenter Top 10.

The Milwaukee Bucks come into tonight’s game at 41-39 and are in a tight race with the Atlanta Hawks for the five-seed in the Eastern conference with only a couple games to go, making tonight’s game a crucial one for the Greek Freak and company.

Tonight’s game and the final game of the season for the Bucks could be the difference between facing the Washington Wizards as a five-seed or the Toronto Raptors as a six-seed. Although, they will need help from Atlanta

The Bucks will face the Boston Celtics, who still have a shot at a one seed, to finish up the season on Wednesday, April 12.
