A new Nintendo Direct is coming on Wednesday. Apparently, it will focus mainly on Splatoon 2 and ARMS. We’re hoping for more, though.

We thought we would have to wait until E3 2017 to hear some news from Nintendo. However, it looks like we’ll be getting a little something before then. Nintendo has confirmed that a new Nintendo Direct will be releasing on Wednesday. It is said to be focuses mainly on Splatoon 2 and ARMS, but we know that they’re full of surprises.

We don’t think we’ll be seeing much else, but we sure hope we do. In reality, we understand that they want to save the big news for E3 and that’s the smart way to go. Plus, ARMS is right around the corner and Splatoon 2 is releasing sometime in the summer. Maybe we’ll get an official release date for it.

Those games look like a ton of fun. We were able to test out Splatoon 2 during the Global Testfire this past March. If we’re being honest, it seems like the same game as its predecessor, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s only a fraction of the game as well, so it would be unfair to judge it at this point.

ARMS looks like an interesting new IP as well. When it was revealed at the Nintendo Switch live presentation in January, it didn’t seem all that noteworthy However, from hands-on impressions and various gaming footage, it seems much more complex than originally thought.

It’s about time that we learn about some new games for the Nintendo Switch. We’ve just about done everything there is to do in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We feel it’s the right time for something new. It would be cool if they touch a bit on the online service and the Breath of the Wild DLC. We won’t be holding our breath (no pun intended), though.
