NFL preseason schedule 2017: Games, times, dates announced

The official dates and times for the league’s annual summer exhibition games have been announced. Are there any matchups worth being excited about?
With the 2017 NFL regular season still more than four months away, football fans have a lot of time on their hands before looking forward to every Sunday for at least 17 straight weeks becomes a thing again.
On Monday, the league gave fans a little something to get excited about during the month or so leading up to the regular season when the 2017 NFL preseason schedule was released. Even though these are just exhibition games, there will still be a bit of intrigue for some of these matchups.
The Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys will kick the preseason off this year in the NFL’s annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. Hopefully the field is in some sort of playable shape this year and a game will actually be able to take place.
Other notable games to keep in mind this summer will be Mike Glennon’s debut with the Chicago Bears, the first NFL game in Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, J.J. Watt’s return to the field for the Houston Texans after missing most of the 2016 season with a back injury, and the Chargers first game outside of San Diego since 1960.
