Borussia Dortmund face Monaco at Signal Iduna Park in a Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday, April 11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Borussia Dortmund and Monaco stand out of the eight remaining clubs in the Champions League. It has nothing to do with their level of talent as both squads are filled to the brim with top-tier players. However, it has everything to do with the fact that both clubs are on the verge of becoming big time. With that said, many would say that they haven’t reached that mark yet. Both Borussia Dortmund and Monaco will look to move closer to that point at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, April 11 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup.
Interestingly enough, Borussia Dortmund advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals by way of a 4-0 rout of Benifica in the second leg of their Round of 16 matchup. They needed it after falling behind 1-0 in the first leg. They’ll look to avoid the same fate against Monaco. Coming off of a 4-1 Bundesliga loss to Bayern Munich, though, they’ll look to regain their form. That will require the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang, Ousmane Dembele and even Christian Pulisic stepping up for their club.
Monaco also will rely on exceptional young talent to get the job done. Kylian Mbappe is on the radar of several major clubs for the next transfer window. And he’s shown why in Champions League play as he’s been the spark-plug for his club. He’ll need to be that again, but Radamel Falcao must also help to carry Monaco by being in form in front of net and finishing when opportunities present themselves.
Tuesday’s Champions League fixture between Borussia Dortmund and Monaco will be broadcast on FS2. Subsequently, the match can also be live streamed online or through the app with Fox Sports GO, which requires a cable or satellite subscription to log in.
