Call of Duty: Black Ops II is officially backward compatible on the Xbox One. We can finally play arguably the greatest Call of Duty game ever.

At long last, Xbox has decided to update their backwards compatibility catalog with Call of Duty: Black Ops II. This is long overdue since fans have been clamoring for the chance to play this game on the Xbox One. After the negative response with Infinite Warfare, this is a smart move. On the bright side, we’ve had a lot of fun playing Modern Warfare Remastered, but Black Ops II has so much more to enjoy.

We understand why they took longer than expected to release this game. For one, there’s a reason why they released Modern Warfare Remastered with Infinite Warfare in the first place. Without that game, it wouldn’t have sold very well. Also, if they were to release Black Ops II around the same time they did release Black Ops on the catalog, then nobody would have played Infinite Warfare either.

We feel the developers and producers understand where they’ve made their mistakes and at this point, they just want to make the fans happy. This is fantastic news and we’re extremely happy that we’ll be able to play one of the best games in the Call of Duty series.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops II are widely considered the best. A case can be made for either since they’re amazing games, but let’s talk about why Black Ops II is considered the best.

Without a doubt, it’s the most competitive. When it comes to the guns, the perks, the kill-streaks, and the multiplayer maps, it’s second to none. It also helps that there’s league play, where the game deviates from the casual style of gameplay. It’s awesome for a more competitive feel.
