Is Chicago Fire new tonight, March 11? We let you know if the NBC firefighting drama is airing a new episode and what to expect next.
Is NBC‘s Chicago Fire new tonight, March 11? That’s the question that fans are asking this Tuesday as the series has seen its share of pre-emptions thanks to political coverage and a shifting spring TV schedule.
Chicago Fire is not airing a new episode this Tuesday. The series will be on the air, but it will be a rerun of season 5, episode 9 entitled “Some Make It, Some Don’t.” That episode was the first part of the midseason crossover between Fire and Chicago PD that aired in January.
In “Some Make It, Some Don’t,” Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) gets some bad news about his plan to donate bone marrow for cancer patient Anna (guest star Charlotte Sullivan). It’s a bit ironic that this episode is the rerun of choice considering the recent developments in this particular storyline, but hey.
Meanwhile, things are also grim for Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) as they continue to fight for guardianship over their foster son Louie with his biological father. And because there has to be comedy in here somewhere, the rest of Firehouse 51 acquires a ping-pong table.
Chicago Fire will return with a new episode next Tuesday, April 18 at 10 p.m. on NBC. “Carry Their Legacy” is the first of four new episodes to finish out season 5.
