Marshawn Lynch continues to make headlines for his potential return to the NFL, but this time he seems to be in the news for some off-the-field issues.
It was earlier reported that Marshawn Lynch was going to come out of retirement and make his return to the Oakland Raiders. The ex-Seahawks’ running back was in the Raiders’ building and it was head coach Jack Del Rio’s decision.
Then in the last week, there were reports that Lynch was also secretly interested in playing for the Patriots. With all those rumors, nothing official has actually been announced. Beast Mode still remains retired as a member of the Seahawks.
Even if Lynch were to un-retire, the Seahawks would have to release or complete a trade for Lynch to be on another team in 2017. But on his un-retirement tour, it seems as if Lynch hit a snag, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Florio recaps that Lynch was in the Los Angeles airport when he knocked a phone out of a teenager’s hand. The phone’s screen cracked and the teenager is debating whether to press charges.

TMZ Sports now has a video to Lynch’s interaction with the teenager that shows him knocking the phone out and then turning in the direction and spitting in front of the person.

This couldn’t come at worse time for the 30-year-old running back, who’s looking to make a comeback into the NFL. We don’t know if this will impact Lynch if he does make an official return. He could face discipline from the league on its Personal Conduct policy.

Time will tell what happens with Beast Mode, but we’ll monitor this story as it develops to see who really was at fault: the teenager or Lynch.
