The Nebraska Cornhuskers are coming off a promising 2016 campaign on the gridiron. When is their annual Red-White Spring Game this April?

The Nebraska Cornhuskers had a great start to their 2016 NCAA season, before cooling off considerably as the weather changed. Nebraska was one of the last teams with serious College Football Playoff prospects, beginning the season on a 7-0 run.

However, the Cornhuskers would drop four of the final six games to finish the year 9-4 (6-3) unranked. While the Cornhuskers remained undefeated at home, Big Ten losses on the road to Wisconsin, Ohio State and Iowa wrecked any of their playoff dreams. Nebraska would fall in their both game against the Tennessee Volunteers.

That being said, Nebraska is a perennial contender in the Big Ten West with the likes of rivals Iowa and Wisconsin. The first step in the right direction for 2017 would be the annual Red-White Spring Game. When does the annual intra-squad scrimmage occur this spring?

The Red-White Spring Game will be on Saturday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Big Ten Network To Go (BTN2Go) will have the available live stream for the Nebraska spring football game.

2017 will be head coach Mike Riley’s third season leading the Nebraska football program. He has gone 15-11 (9-8) in his first two years in Lincoln, making bowl games both years. If 2016 is any indication of good things to come for the Nebraska program, there is a good chance that Nebraska can contend for a Big Ten West crown and potentially a Big Ten Championship.

Nebraska will have to go on the road to play the rebuilding Oregon Ducks in Eugene in the non-conference slate. While Nebraska gets Iowa, Ohio State and Wisconsin at home this fall, the Cornhuskers do have a brutal game at the end of the year against the Penn State Nittany Lions in University Park. It’s a tough schedule, but one that Nebraska can be proud of should the Cornhuskers be able to navigate it.
