Junior Galette has been arrested for another incident involving violence. Having yet to serve a two-game suspension, it could be difficult for Galette to get back on the field
Doug Walker of WLOX reported that Washington Redskins linebacker Junior Galette was arrested on Friday after an altercation outside a minor-league baseball stadium in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Per the report, Galette was taken in by police after fleeing the scene of the fight. According to Nick Underhill and Ramon Antonio Vargas of The Advocate, Gallete’s attorney confirmed the charges as disorderly conduct and failure to comply with police.
This is not Galette’s first offense, as he was previously arrested after a domestic incident in January of 2015. According to Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com, Galette was arrested and charged for domestic abuse after police discovered a woman outside Galette’s house with visible injuries to her ear and face.
Five months after the January of 2015 incident, Larry Holder of NOLA.com reported a video surfaced showing a man who appears to be Galette hitting a woman with a belt during a beach party. Gallette, then with the New Orleans Saints, was released from the team shortly after the video was made public.

Galette was a productive player in New Orleans, posting two seasons with double-digit sacks. Signed by Washington in the 2015 offseason, Galette has since torn both of his Achilles tendons, and hasn’t played since 2014. Additionally, Galette has yet to serve his two-game suspension for his actions in 2015.
With the turmoil involving Washington’s front office this offseason, this incident certainly won’t help matters, nor will it help Galette return to the field in 2017.
