NHL playoffs 2017: Blackhawks vs. Predators TV schedule
Two Central Division rivals will square off in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here’s the full television schedule for the series between the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially underway. In the first round, the Chicago Blackhawks, the top seed in the Western Conference, will face the Nashville Predators, the eighth seed. This is the second time in three postseason the two rivals will go at it. Chicago will look to win their fourth Stanley Cup of the 21st century while Nashville will look to win their first in franchise history.
After a rough start to their season, the Hawks got their act together very quickly. They scored 244 goals (eight in the NHL) while allowing 213 (11th fewest). Chicago’s +31 goal differential ranks seventh. Behind the strength of their core, led by Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, they are the favorites to win the Stanley Cup.
On the other side of the ice, the Predators are making their third consecutive postseason appearance. After a very slow start, Nashville pushed in 2017 to sneak into the playoffs as the eighth seed. Led by P.K. Subban and Filip Forsberg, they’ll hope to pull off a huge upset and get some revenge for the 2014-15 season, when they lost to Chicago in six games.
