The Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins are all set to square off in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

With game one scheduled for Wednesday night, these two Atlantic Division teams will battle for the right to take on either the Montreal Canadiens or the New York Rangers in the second round of the NHL playoffs.

Despite playing in the same division, the Sens and Bruins have never met in the postseason before. Both teams return to the playoffs this year after missing out last season, Boston making a late-season surge to pass the Toronto Maple Leafs and grab third in the Atlantic.

The Bruins found success late in the season after firing coach Claude Julien and replacing him with Bruce Cassidy. The Senators, on the other hand, saw a return to the playoffs in the first year of Guy Boucher’s tenure behind the bench.

Ottawa won all four games between the two sides this season, all close affairs but with the Sens taking the upper hand. The biggest question mark for them will be the health of some key players, with star defenceman Erik Karlsson’s status not quite certain for game one.

Brad Marchand leads Boston’s offensive effort, scoring 39 goals and 85 points this season.

The series between these Eastern teams gets started on Wednesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa. Here’s the complete Bruins vs Senators TV schedule for their first-round matchup.
