Considering that the Fast & Furious franchise has done some fairly big set-up work in post-credits scenes in the past, it would be strange for Fast 8 not to have one.
We’re only days away from the release of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth movie in the long-running and increasingly profitable Fast & Furious series (the movies are also increasing on the budget side, but as long as they keep raking in the dough, that’s not a huge problem). It’s also the first of the films to be made without the late Paul Walker.
But does it have a post-credits scene? It’s strange not to know the answer to that question so close to the U.S. release.
Critics who got to see the world premiere of The Fate of the Furious reported there was nothing else to see once the credits began to roll, but that’s no surprise given how studios try to keep word of a post-credits scene or stinger from getting out. The M.O. now seems to be to keep the extra footage out of the premiere and then add it in for the general release.
One more recent review suggests there is something worth sticking around for, though you’ll need to heed a potential spoiler warning if you read on:
"Everyone in the multicultural cast is back, including the late Paul Walker in another end credits memorial."
Next: Who does Charlize Theron play in The Fate of the Furious?
So the answer about whether or not The Fate of the Furious post-credits scene is a thing is … maybe. Considering you’ll undoubtedly need some time to recover from the usual dizzying array of stunts and action scenes, you might want to hang around until the very end just in case, and we’ll certainly break down any extra scenes here at FanSided.com come Friday.
