NHL playoffs 2017: Ducks vs. Flames TV schedule
The Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames will square off in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Here’s a full series television schedule.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are officially underway. One of the most intriguing first round series is the one between the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames. The former is the Pacific Division champions while the latter is the first wild card. This is one of the better rivalries in the NHL, especially after Mark Giordano injured Cam Fowler. Tensions will be running high for both sides throughout the series.
After firing Bruce Boudreau and bringing back Randy Carlyle, Anaheim has won their fifth straight Pacific Division title. Led by a defense which allowed merely 200 goals (third fewest in the league), they will try to win their first Stanley Cup title since the 2006-07 season. They are led by defensemen Hampus Lindholm, Josh Manson and Sami Vatanen. Offensively, Ryan Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell, Patrick Eaves, Ryan Kesler and Corey Perry lead them.
On the other side of the ice, the Flames will face a team who have given them lots of nightmares. They have lost 24 consecutive games in Anaheim. Calgary is back in the postseason after a one-year hiatus. Originally cursed with bad goaltending, Brian Elliott and Chad Johnson have been much better as of late as the Flames climbed up the Pacific Division standings. They are led by Giordano, Dougie Hamilton, sensational rookie Matthew Tkachuk, Johnny Gaudreau, Mikael Backlund and Sean Monahan.

This should be a good series. However, the Flames must overcome their failures in Anaheim. The Ducks will be without Fowler, which tilts the scales a bit in favor of Calgary.
