Is Blindspot new tonight, April 12? We let you know if the Jaimie Alexander series is airing a new episode this Wednesday and what to expect in Season 2.

Fans are wondering what’s in store on NBC‘s Blindspot after last week’s episode led to the exit of a major character. But those curious viewers will have to wait a little bit longer, as the series is not airing a new episode this Wednesday.

Blindspot has been preempted on April 12, in favor of a second rerun of its lead-out, Law & Order: SVU. NBC is airing back-to-back SVU reruns from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday.

That will also be the case next Wednesday, April 19, with two more back-to-back SVU repeats taking over both time slots.

The next new episode of Blindspot will air on Wednesday, April 26. It’s the first of the final three episodes of season 2, with Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) on the hunt for malicious hackers.

Shepherd (Michelle Hurd), Jane’s foster mother and Weller’s nemesis, is also expected to make her reappearance in season 2, episode 19 — so audiences may finally get more information on what she has been doing overseas.

If you need to catch up on what happened in last week’s big episode first, we’ve broken down the character exit and speculated on the future here.

Blindspot remains on the bubble as fans wait to hear whether it will be renewed for season 3. The show has experienced lower ratings since it moved from Mondays at 10 p.m. to Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
