High Salary Option

Rougned Odor $3500 – Odor has slowed down a bit since his Opening Day festivities at the plate, but is still hitting .258 with three home runs, eight runs batted in, and five runs scored. He gets a decent matchup today against Angels righty Ricky Nolasco and there seems to be no reason why Odor can’t have another party at the plate today. **

High Value Option

Jonathan Villar $3300 – Villar has a gross .179 batting average tagged to his name, but still has three home runs, six runs batted in, and four runs scored on the season. He is averaging 10.42 fantasy points per game so far this year and gets a good matchup against the Reds righty Bronson Arroyo and his 13.50 earned run average. If Villar can get a hold of another one tonight, he will easily pay off his middle of the road price tag. ***

Shortstop

High Salary Option

Xander Bogaerts $3300 – Shortstop is not looking pretty today, will bad matchups and mediocre players up and down the board. Bogaerts is one of the few that has an opportunity to produce a nice chunk of fantasy points today. The Red Sox have the highest implied run total on today’s slate, and as long as Bogaerts can keep up his almost .300 average, he should be able to score and maybe steal a base. *

High Value Option

Addison Russell $2700 – Russell gets a nice matchup today against the Dodgers lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu, who allows a .429 average against right handed batters. Russell has four runs batted in and six runs scored on the year, but only a .257 batting average with no home runs. He has the opportunity to score some serious fantasy points today at a position that is severely lacking today, but he’ll need to get on base to score those additional stats. **
