The Los Angeles Rams have eight picks in the 2017 NFL draft. Who can they take to build their roster around Jared Goff.

The Rams are all in on Jared Goff. Whether it works out or not, and so far it does not look good, the Rams are in. They traded a heap of future draft picks including their first round pick in 2017 to acquire him, and now, with a new coaching staff, it is their mission to build this team up. Despite losing their first this year, the Rams still found a way to find eight draft picks, with two coming in the fourth round, and two coming in the sixth. So who should they be selecting with their heap of mid round picks in 2017? Here is our Los Angeles Rams 7-round mock draft.

Forrest Lamp

Guard, Western Kentucky

The Rams offense is ugly. It is why no one can truly judge how bad Jared Goff was in his rookie season. Aside from the fact that he had no pass catching options, Goff had an awful offensive line. The team spent on a left tackle this offseason, adding Andrew Whitworth. It will slide first round bust Greg Robinson into a guard spot. Still, this team will need depth and talent across the board, but more specifically in their interior.

This is where Lamp comes in. Lamp is arguably the top guard in the class and may find himself being the rare first round guard. There is a great chance for him to start next season, and he should be able to give the Rams a great boost in depth, youth, and talent. Lamp can either take a job from Robinson, who could be gone next year, or they can try to run with Lamp and Robinson as their tandem moving forward.

The Rams are going to win by being a run first team, and running first means having great guard play. The Rams should shoot for that in their first pick, and if Lamp slides to the second round, this should be the lowest spot that he goes.
