Taking a look at when Star Wars: The Last Jedi tickets will go on sale for the Dec. 15 theatrical release
The trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is finally here, and everything about it looks incredible. Do we actually know anything of total consequence about Episode VIII? Absolutely not. What we do know is that everything about the upcoming film is a reason to get excited.
One of the best things about the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the fight scenes that we’re treated to. Between The Force Awakens and Rogue One, the modern CGI battles have been quite epic. So it only stands to reason that they’d be both bigger in Episode 8 and that much better because of it.
However, if there’s one thing that’s still unfortunate about all of this, it isn’t the total lack of information. Rather, it’s the fact that fans have to wait so long until the release. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is slated for a Dec. 15 theatrical release. That’s almost exactly eight months away from the day that the trailer was released at the Star Wars Celebration. With all of the anticipation, that time frame feels like an eternity.
With any release of this magnitude for a movie like The Last Jedi, though, there are various markers along the way in the process. We’ll get another trailer soon enough. But the real landmark date that everyone is looking for has to be when tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi go on sale.
Something that happened with both The Force Awakens and Rogue One was the mad dash to get tickets. That was so much the case that Fandango crashed on both occasions. As that’s the case, we all need to be ready. So when will Star Wars: The Last Jedi tickets go on sale?

Frankly, that date is likely tied to when the next trailer drops. For The Force Awakens, tickets went on sale in mid-October for a similar release date of the film as with The Last Jedi. So the best guess would be to keep eyes peeled for the middle of October so you can get your tickets!

Rumors are circulating (h/t MovieWeb) that the next trailer will debut during Monday Night Football on Oct. 9. Tickets will go on sale then.
