Storylines aren’t at a shortage heading into the 2017 Michigan Football Spring Game. At the very least, there’s always going to be eyes on head coach Jim Harbaugh. Even without the eccentric leader, though, there’s plenty to follow. That’s why plenty of eyes will be tuning into the Maize vs. Blue action at Michigan Stadium on Saturday, April 15.
After losing three of their final four games — including the Orange Bowl — the Wolverines have a ton of talent to replace. Losing the likes of Jabrill Peppers, Jourdan Lewis, Taco Charlton, Amara Darboh, Jake Butt and many others isn’t going to be easy on Michigan. However, they have player like the highly touted Rashan Gary and David Long waiting in the wings to step up. They’ll have that chance at the Michigan Football Spring Game.
Outside of that, though, many eyes will be on the quarterback in Ann Arbor. Wilton Speight was passable last year, but needs to be much better in 2017. What’s more, there are guys to push him on the depth chart as well. That’ll definitely be something to watch in what should be an entertaining and also informative spring game.
