Sporting Gijon vs. Real Madrid live stream: Watch La Liga online
Sporting Gijon face Real Madrid at Estadio El Molinon on Saturday, April 15. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Real Madrid suffered a set back in La Liga last week, conceding a late goal in the Madrid derby to draw 1-1 with Atletico Madrid. The result looked like it opened the door for Barcelona to take back control in the title race, but the Catalan club failed to take advantage, losing 2-0 to Malaga that same weekend.
Los Blancos now lead second-place Barca by three points having played a game less. The two sides meet for the second time this season on April 23, a match Barca almost certainly have to win if they’re to have any shot at the title.
Real had a good week, despite the Atletico draw. They beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie. Zinedine Zidane’s men struggled in the first half, when they fell behind, but a Cristiano Ronaldo goal early in the second half, coupled with a Javi Martinez red card, swung the game in their favor. In the end, Real were probably a little disappointed only to score twice.
Sporting Gijon are struggling. They’re down in 18th place on 22 points, and trail 17th-place Leganes by five points. They need to start winning soon if they’re going to avoid the drop, but getting points off Real may be too big of an ask.
