USC Football is set to take the field for their annual spring game, so see how to watch it online.

2016 had looked like a down season for USC Football — at least for the first quarter of the season. Following their fourth game, things took off, and the Trojans ended up winning out the rest of the year. This included the 2017 Rose Bowl, defeating Penn State in an instant classic.

Sam Darnold is back for USC at quarterback. His insertion as the starter in Week 4 arguably triggered the team to go on their monumental run.

Darnold didn’t have a game where he threw for less than 200 yards, more interceptions than touchdowns, and never had a completion percentage below 62.3. These statistics only came in his redshirt-freshman season, too, so bigger and better things may be on the way.

We’ll potentially see some freshmen get chances to play, as well. This includes wide receiver Joseph Lewis, who could make a play at moving up the depth chart. USC lost JuJu Smith-Schuster to the 2017 NFL Draft, so someone will have to make up his production. While it’s no guarantee Lewis will be that guy, he may get the chance to flash his skill to open the eyes of the coaching staff.
