Watford sit in the middle of the Premier League table safe from any danger of being relegated. The same can not be said for Swansea, who sit 18th in the league table and need to win to avoid relegation.
Watford were outclassed in their last game against Tottenham. Spurs had 58 percent possession and had 19 shots in the game with six hitting the target. Dele Alli and Heung-min Son were fantastic for Tottenham. Alli opened the scoring for Spurs in the 33rd minute. Eric Dier added his second in as many games in the 39th minute and Son added a pair in the 44th and 54th minute to get all three points for Spurs. It could have been worse for Watford, as Son missed another chance later in the game.
Swansea faced West Ham in their previous game and failed to take advantage of a struggling Hammers team. West Ham had got just two of a possible 21 points in their previous seven games. However, Cheikhou Kouyate’s goal in the 44th minute proved to be the winner for the Hammers. It could have been a lot worse for Swansea. If not for keeper Lukasz Fabianski, the loss could have been bigger. Should Swansea not turn it around, Fabianski and Gylfi Sigurdsson will be in high demand during the summer transfer window.
