After Game 1 between the Warriors and Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum confirmed they’re ready for Draymond Green’s trash talk.

The Portland Trail Blazers gave the Golden State Warriors everything that they could handle in Game 1 of their first round series in the NBA Playoffs. Though it may not have been expected, the Blazers went on the road and pushed the two-time defending Western Conference champs to the brink. Golden State pulled away in the end, but the stage was ultimately set for an entertaining series.

If Draymond Green, C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard keep up their antics from Game 1, it most certainly will be that.

Throughout the first game in the series, it was clear that the two Trail Blazers guards and the resident troublemaker from Golden State were jawing through much of the game. Of course, they were feeding off of one another and it only escalated further throughout the game.

After the final buzzer, though, they were all three asked about the trash talking. And all three guys had plenty to say on the subject. More importantly, the trio of All-Star caliber players were all not even close to backing down. Essentially, they confirmed that we’re going to see much more of this for however long the series goes:

The calf raises thing might be the funniest part of it all. McCollum doesn’t laugh it off or anything. He just deadpans that Green needs to hit some more calf raises — and it’s incredible.

Obviously we don’t want this to escalate into any kind of physical altercation (or a serious one, rather). However, if it’s going to ramp up the intensity for a first round matchup between the Nos. 1 and 8 seeds, we should be all for more trash talk forthcoming.
