Paul George was not pleased he didn’t get the final shot of the Pacers Game 1 loss, a sentiment J.R. Smith agrees with.

The Indiana Pacers lost Game 1 of their postseason series against the Cleveland Cavaliers when C.J. Miles missed a shot at the buzzer. The assist would have come from Paul George, who passed to get out of a double team trap but apparently wanted the ball back — something that didn’t happen.

After the game, George made a point of saying he needs to get that shot. J.R. Smith showed his support — because of course he would.

Social media behavior is a tricky thing to decipher. If you’re not careful, a lot of the behaviors exhibted can go over your head and you won’t think twice about it. Like, if a girl you used to date likes your current girlfriends pictures. To the untrained eye, it’s a nice gesture. But in reality, it’s petty and immature times ten. So when JR Smith decided to “like” a post via popular social media Instagram regarding George needing to take the final shot, the petty meter immediately shot up.

User ‘Teamswish’ is none other than J.R Smith, resident shooter of the Cleveland Cavaliers of course. In situations like this, you have to put it in the context of everyday life. If you ranted about your spouse via social media and your ex “liked” it, would you think they were doing a good gesture? Probably not. Granted, Smith is human like the rest of us. What separates Smith from the rest of us is his mentality on the court and proficiency shooting threes. But it doesn’t excuse his social media behavior. In a nutshell, Smith said “Yeah, you should take that shot, sure, bro.”

Either way, Smith sort of have the right to flex the pettiness for a second. The Cavaliers currently have a 1-0 lead on George and the Indiana Pacers and the Cavs are also are the defending NBA Champions. But like with certain situations in our everyday life, somethings are better left unattended to. Smith could have left that post alone, but as we see, he couldn’t help himself.
