Veep is finally back, and considering our current political climate, I can’t wait to see what Selina Meyer has to say. Here’s how you can watch Veep online.
First and foremost, get your ears ready because Veep is back, which means Julia Louis-Dreyfus is here to spit fire and curse more in a single sentence that anyone else in the real world will probably accomplish in a month.
Also, it means Jonad is back. Or as he prefers, Tall McCartney. Whatever, Guyscraper.
(Yes, that is my favorite Veep scene of all time. Actually, it’s tied for first … with nearly every other Veep scene.)
Obviously, it’s been about a year since we last checked in with the Selina Meyer camp. When we last saw them, Tom James (Hugh Laurie) nearly clinched the presidency before Laura Montez came out of nowhere and became the next president.
Like Selina, the rest of the team is completely in flux when we return in the season 6 premiere:
"Season six is full of these new partnerships and reversals of power, with Ben (Kevin Dunn) and Kent (Gary Cole) now serving under Congressman Jonah Ryan (Timothy Simons). Amy (Anna Chlumsky) is trying to keep her skills honed by running her fiancé’s campaign, but it’s obvious she misses the punishing grind of being in thrall to the Meyer doctrine. Meanwhile Dan (Reid Scott) is trying to make a transition to daytime television."
Dan will literally do anything. Anything for an ounce of attention and a second in the spotlight. He’s such a sellout, and yet I don’t absolutely hate him yet.
Also, check out the teaser for the new season and Selina’s “second act.” In an effort to be family friendly, I’d advise not playing this out loud in the middle of the living room with your kids watching Doc McStuffins or something in the background.
