The Anaheim Ducks face the Calgary Flames in game 3 of their NHL playoff series at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday, April 17.

The Anaheim Ducks are heading to Calgary with a two-game lead over the Flames in their best of seven series. In game 2, Anaheim opened up a two-goal lead less than seven minutes into the first period. The Flames were able to work their way back into the game, but Ryan Getzlaf’s power-play goal with less five minutes remaining proved to be the winner.

Flames goalie Brian Elliott has allowed six goals on 70 shots through two games. If the Flames are going to win game 3 they need Elliott to up his level of play from game 2 and steal a game. Calgary needs rookie left-winger Matthew Tkachuk to step up. After recording 48 points in the regular season, Tkachuk has gone pointless in the first two games.

John Gibson has been fantastic in net for the Ducks. The Pittsburgh native has saved 65 of 69 shots in the first two games of the series. Shea Theodore has been excellent in place of injured defenseman Cam Fowler. Theodore has recorded three assists in the first two games. Anaheim has had the same three goal scorers, Jakob Silfverberg, Rickard Rakell and Getzlaf score in both games.
